• Indie

Short term for 'Independent'. ALL members of NIKO are indie artists/writers, meaning: they independently create, produce, advertise and market their product such as comics, artbooks, sketches, etc. They spend for all the expenses out of their own pockets all for the love of what they do.

• Indie Tiangge

Usually a convention for indie works such as komiks, art books and independently produced works. It comprises mostly of a series of tables/booths manned by amateur artists or writers who have published their own works and souvenirs to sell.
It is also a good opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow artists, writers, fans and otakus alike.

• ManHua Fest

Also known as "Komiks Festival". First held as a mini-komiks convention in Bacolod's 888 Chinatown Square last March 2012 as an awareness to the otaku community in Negros of the slowly, yet progressively, growing industry of local komiks.

• Sketch Day

Otherwise known as "Meet-up" or "Eyeball" with fellow members and sometimes with an open invitation for non-members. An occasional gathering.
An announcement is usually posted in N.I.K.O.'s Facebook page with the date, time, location and what's needed if a non-member wants to join the meet-up.
Hours are spent drawing, writing, chatting -- most especially eating -- with each other. This is also the time pioneers discuss future activities of the group such as indie market, events, projects and the like.
Non-members present can take this opportunity to be privy of NIKO's goals.
